Standort
Es ist berühmt für seinen mittelalterlichen Widerstand gegen die Türken und Venedig. Aus dieser Zeit stammen eine ganze Reihe bekannter Artefakte wie Stadtmauern, Türme und der berühmteste Nehaj-Turm. Der heutige Gast der Stadt hat die Möglichkeit, diese historischen Denkmäler und Museen in diesen Gebieten, insbesondere im Nehaj-Turm, zu besichtigen.
Senj liegt zwischen dem hohen, mythischen Berg Velebit und dem Meer und ist aufgrund seiner Lage als Touristenzentrum äußerst interessant. Es liegt am Meer und ist bekannt für seine zehn wunderschönen, natürlichen Kiesstrände (Draga, Điga, Spasovac, Ujča, Voda usw.), wunderschöne kleine Küstenstädte, die aus vergangenen Zeiten stammen (Lukovo, Klada, Starigrad), ein wunderbares Naturdenkmal, den überfluteten Zavratnica-Fjord.
Senj ist auch Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu zwei ganz in der Nähe von Senj gelegenen, wunderschönen Bergnationalparks Plitvicer Seen und dem Nationalpark Nördlicher Velebit, dessen wilde Berggipfel unglaubliche Ausblicke bieten, die Ihnen den Atem rauben!
Velebit ist ein Berg, dessen Wert und Schönheit von der UNESCO anerkannt und in das Weltkulturerbe aufgenommen wurde. Der Botanische Garten Velebit, der berühmte Premužić-Weg und das Bärenschutzgebiet sind Orte, die man gesehen haben muss und die man für immer in Erinnerung behalten wird!
Auch die Quelle des Flusses Gacka mit ihren Mühlen und ihrem gastronomischen Angebot liegt in der Nähe.
Senj ist ein ausgezeichneter Ausgangspunkt für Aktivtourismus, Wandern, Fotosafaris, Tierbeobachtungen, Mountainbiken, Fliegenfischen, Jagen, einfache Spaziergänge mit Panoramablick auf das Meer und die Inseln und natürlich zum Schwimmen an den Stränden.
Nach einem anstrengenden Tag bietet Senj viele Möglichkeiten, einen angenehmen Abend in hervorragenden Restaurants, Cafés oder Nachtbars zu verbringen.
